Résumé:
The concepts offered in this course is an introductory in point mechanics and material point
systems. Specifically addressed to first-year science and technology students. Our concern
while writing this book has been to refer to the knowledge that students have acquired in
high school classes in order to ensure the most continuous transition as possible.
Certainly the main difficulty we encountered during this course was mathematical.
Mechanics is a science that requires precision and concepts gained during high school
learning are dealt with here in a more formal and rigorous manner. Therefore, we focused a
lot on the mathematical tools that we believe are necessary for a good understanding of the
physics course.
