Résumé:
This thesis employs a qualitative approach using critical discourse analysis within the
theoretical framework of Gramsci’s concept of cultural hegemony. It examines how
Trumpism, as an ideological and political movement, used media rhetoric to challenge
Neoliberal norms and reshape American conservative discourse between 2017 and 2021. The
methodology involves the textual analysis of political speeches, media coverage, and policy
documents to explore the intersection of economic Nationalism, populist rhetoric, and anti-
immigration discourse.
