Résumé:
This study investigates the biological properties of the hydroethanolic extract of Citrullus
colocynthis, focusing on its antioxidant, antidiabetic, and insecticidal activities against
mosquito species.
The yield of the hydro-ethanolic extract of the fruit of Citrullus colocynthis was 19.21%.
Antioxidant assays showed moderate free radical scavenging ability. The antidiabetic
activity was confirmed through inhibition of α-glucosidase enzyme. Additionally, the
extract exhibited significant insecticidal potential, highlighting its possible use in
pharmaceutical and entomological fields.
